GPSSB Mukhya Sevika Recruitment 2026.The Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB) has released the much-awaited Mukhya Sevika (Lady Supervisor — ICDS) Recruitment 2026 notification under Advt. No. 05/2026-27. A total of 169 women-only vacancies in Class-III (Group-C) have been announced across 34 District Panchayats in Gujarat. Selected candidates will work under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme at the Panchayat, Rural Housing & Rural Development Department.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria(GPSSB Mukhya Sevika Recruitment 2026)
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree -hpme Science, Sociology, Child Development, Nutrition, or Social work a Related Field OR Equivalent Eligibility From a Central/State Act University or UGC Section 3 Deemed Univesity
- Computer knowledge: Basic computer application knowledge as prescribed under Gujarat Civil Services (Classification and Recruitment) General Rules, 1967. Acceptable proofs include Class 10 or 12 with Computer as a subject, or a Diploma/Degree/Certificate in Computer from a recognised institute.
- Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
- Qualification cut-off date: 09/05/2026. Final year results must be declared by this date.
Age Limit (as on [Cutoff Date]):
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 37 Years
- Age Relaxation for Women (cumulative cap — 45 years): General women – 5 years | SC/ST/SEBC/EWS women – 10 years | PwBD General women – 15 years | PwBD Reserved women – 20 years | Ex-Servicewomen – length of defence service + 3 years
- Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.
Gender Restriction:
This is a women-only recruitment. Only female candidates may apply for any of the 169 Mukhya Sevika posts, including the UR/General category. Male and transgender candidates are not eligible for this advertisement.

💰 Salary Detail(GPSSB Mukhya Sevika Recruitment 2026)
The selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay scale of ₹40,800/ Per Month(Fixed, 5 years)
- First 5 years (Fixed Pay): ₹40,800 per month (contractual appointment)
- After 5 years: Regular pay scale as per Gujarat Government rules and the pay matrix applicable to Mukhya Sevika at the time of regularisation
- Allowances: As per Gujarat Finance Department Resolutions
- Other Benefits: Medical, leave and retirement benefits as per prevailing Gujarat Panchayat service rules (post regularisation)

📄 Selection Process:(GPSSB Mukhya Sevika Recruitment 2026)
The selection is based on three-stage merit based process:
- Stage 1 — Competitive Written Examination (CBRT or OMR, 200 marks, 3 hours, MCQ based)
- Stage 2 — Document / Certificate Verification (for candidates in Provisional Merit List)
- Stage 3 — Onscreen District Allocation + Final Select List with Waiting List
Written Exam Pattern:
- Mode: CBRT (Computer Based) or OMR, to be notified separately
- Total Questions: 200 MCQs | Total Marks: 200 | Duration: 3 hours
- Negative Marking: -0.25 marks (¼th) per wrong answer
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% (Board may fix higher, never lower)
- Section 1: General Awareness & General Knowledge — 35 marks (Gujarati medium)
- Section 2: Gujarati Grammar — 20 marks | Section 3: English Language & Grammar — 20 marks
- Section 4: General Mathematics, Reasoning & Data Interpretation — 25 marks (Gujarati)
- Section 5: Subject knowledge (Home Science/Sociology/Child Development/Nutrition/Social Work) — 100 marks (Gujarati)
