OPaL Apprentice Recruitment 2026. ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL) — a Central PSU and subsidiary of ONGC, co-promoted by GAIL (India) and GSPC — has released a notification for 80 Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961, for a 1-year apprenticeship engagement at five centres across India. This is a wonderful chance for ITI passed candidates and B.Com / B.B.A. / B.IT graduates to gain industrial training at one of India’s largest petrochemical PSUs at Dahej, Gujarat, and its corporate offices.

The online application is open from 24 April 2026 to 15 May 2026. Trade ITI apprentices apply via the Apprenticeship India portal (NAPS) and Graduate apprentices apply via the NATS portal. With stipend up to ₹12,300 per month, OPaL apprenticeships are some of the most attractive in the petrochemical sector.

Educational Qualification:

• Trade ITI Posts (AOCP / Fitter / Electrician / IMCP): ITI Trade Certificate in the relevant trade from a SBTE / SCVT / NCVT-recognised institute. Wireman trade is NOT acceptable for the Electrician post.
• Graduate Apprentice — HR Executive: B.B.A. degree from a UGC / AICTE-recognised university.
• Graduate Apprentice — Account Executive: B.Com degree from a UGC / AICTE-recognised university.
• Graduate Apprentice — IT Executive: Bachelor’s degree in IT from a UGC / AICTE-recognised university.
• All qualifications must be full-time — Distance Learning, Part-time and Correspondence are NOT accepted.
• The essential qualification must be acquired in 2022 or later.
• Suitable for students seeking ITI government jobs and B.Com / commerce sector government jobs.

• Minimum Age: 18 Years(DOB on before 15.05.2018)
• Maximum Age: 24 Years(DOB on or after 15.05.2002)
• Age relaxation: SC/ST — 5 years (15 years for PwBD-SC/ST); OBC-NCL — 3 years (13 years for PwBD-OBC-NCL); PwBD — 10 years.

OPaL pays its apprentices a fixed monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961. The stipend is competitive among PSU apprenticeships, especially for fresh graduates from Tier-2 cities.
Trade ITI Apprentices: ₹10,560 per month
Graduate Apprentices: ₹12,300 per month
Engagement Duration: 1 year (non-extendable)
Other Benefits: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided during engagement.

Important to note — accommodation is NOT provided, and apprentices must arrange their own stay near the work location. There is no TA/DA, no boarding cost, and no automatic regular employment after the apprenticeship ends.

There is no written test. Selection is purely merit-based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (ITI marks for Trade posts, graduation marks for Graduate posts). Refer to general results pages for selection list updates.

Stage 4 — Document Verification + Medical Fitness: Selected candidates intimated via registered email; required to produce originals and a Medical Certificate of fitness from a Registered Medical Officer before joining.

Stage 1 — Online Registration: Trade candidates register on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (NAPS); Graduate candidates register on nats.education.gov.in.

Stage 3 — Merit Shortlisting: Merit list prepared based on qualifying-examination marks. Tie-breaker: candidate with higher age preferred.
