Educational Qualification:
- Group A (10th Pass trades): Passed SSC / Class 10 with General Science and Mathematics. ITI-passed candidates are not eligible for Group A.

As an apprentice at Mazagon Dock, you will be paid a monthly stipend during the training period as per the rates fixed under the Apprentices Act 1961. The stipend is credited directly to your savings bank account every month through ECS, so a PAN card is mandatory.

Stage 1: Online Examination (CBT)
A Computer Based Test of 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks and 2 hours duration, based on the minimum-qualification syllabus of your group. For Group A and Group C, the paper covers English & General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For Group B (ITI), it covers English & General Knowledge, Trade Theory, Workshop Calculation & Science, and Engineering Drawing.
Stage 2: Document Verification and Trade Allotment
Candidates with the highest marks (group and category wise) are called for document verification. Trades are allotted in order of merit, so a higher score gives you a better choice of trade.
Stage 3: Medical Examination and Police Verification
