Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must hold a BE / B.Tech / B.Sc. (Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a UGC/AICTE recognised university in one of the following disciplines:

The selection process will be based on:

Shortlisting Based on GATE Score

Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their valid GATE 2024 / 2025 / 2026 scores. The shortlisting ratio is 1:12 (12 candidates called for every 1 vacancy).

Personal Interview

• Qualifying marks (General): 70%
• Qualifying marks (EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PwBD): 60%
• Tentative Schedule: 8 to 19 June 2026

Final Selection

Final selection is based entirely on interview performance — no weightage is given to GATE score during final merit preparation. In case of tie in interview marks, the candidate with a higher GATE score is ranked higher.

Training (1 Year)

Selected candidates undergo one-year orientation training at NPCIL training centres. Two streams are available — PHWR (Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor) and LWR (Light Water Reactor). After successful completion, you are appointed as Scientific Officer
