The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has invited applications from experienced engineers for 40 Site Engineer posts on contract basis — 30 Civil + 10 Electrical — for its Pan-India construction and station-redevelopment projects. Selected candidates get a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹76,000 (all-inclusive) and an initial 1-year contract, extendable on the basis of performance and project requirement.

Educational Qualification:

• Site Engineer (Civil): B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised University / Institute (full-time regular course only) with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST).
• Site Engineer (Electrical): B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University / Institute (full-time regular course only) with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST).

Experience Required:

• Minimum: 2 years of post-qualification experience in Construction, Development, Electrical or MEP work in Central Govt, State Govt, Central Govt PSU, State Govt PSU or other private organisations.
• Excluded: Internship, apprenticeship, training, teaching, academic and freelancing experience are not counted.
• Counting Rule: Experience is counted only after acquiring the minimum prescribed qualification.

Age Limit (as on):

• Maximum Age: 45 Years

• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Ex-Servicemen/PwD. If a candidate is eligible for relaxation on multiple grounds, only the highest admissible relaxation will apply.

The Site Engineer post carries a fixed consolidated remuneration with no separate allowances; the figure quoted already covers Cost-to-Company including the employer’s EPF contribution.

• There is no written examination. The selection is shortlisting-cum-interview based, focused on actual project experience and academic record.
• Shortlisting: Based on selection criteria (applied if applicants are high in number).
• Interview: For shortlisted candidates only.
• The shortlisting and interview will weigh the following factors: last drawn gross salary, relevant work experience in Civil Construction or Project Supervision (minimum 2 years), B.Tech percentage marks, and the interview performance. Additional weightage is given to candidates with an M.Tech qualification and to those with direct experience in Indian Railways, a Central PSU, a State PSU or a Government Department for a minimum cumulative period of 1 year.
